Introduced to Liguria around 1600 by Benedictine monks, in 1827 the Mela family began producing extra virgin olive oil, pressing the sweet and tasty Taggiasca olives with the village's stone press. Today, the press has been replaced by more modern production methods, capable of guaranteeing quality and authenticity. A tradition passed down for generations. Modern equipment has replaced old production methods, but passion and craftsmanship remain unchanged.
